Grades 2-5 (Language
Arts)
In this unit, the students will be encouraged to develop correct
writing strategies in which to communicate through written
language for a variety of venues. The students will learn
how to correctly plan, draft, and write a friendly letter,
an e-mail to a pen-pal, a short report for the newspaper,
and a short story about their Dakota values.
