| Who are we? The DIAL Virtual School is an initiative of the Dakota Interactive Academic Link or DIAL consoritium of schools. Beginning our
10th academic year, the DIAL Virtual School has provided high quality distance learning classes and programs to
students throughout South Dakota. DIAL is an approved provider for the SD Virtual High School. |

| What do we do? The mission of the DIAL Virtual School is to provide high quality distance learning classes and programs to assist South Dakota schools and students in meeting their educational needs. |
| How do we do this? The DIAL Virtual School provides middle school and high school distance classes either using live, two-way, interactive video technology (DDN) or
asynchronous online classes using WebCT. We also provide an ACT Prep Program for high school students and our programs and services are available to any school in South Dakota. |

- DIAL Virtual School is an approved distance education provider by the SD Department of Education and part of the South Dakota Virtual High School.

- Our teachers make an on-site visit to your students during the school year
- Our teachers are highly trained to provide effective and engaging distance education
- All teachers have completed a variety of workshops in the effective use of two-way video technology, several have been instructors for Distance Teaching & Learning Academies
- Online teachers have completed an intensive Online Teaching Facilitation Course
- We provide on-going professional development for our teachers
