Diane is a graduate of USD with a Masters of Science degree in Elementary Education with a Reading Emphasis. She was a teacher in the Mitchell School District for over 20 years. Her classroom experience included first, second, thrid, and fifth grade as well as Reading Recovery.
As an educational specialist she has facilitated classes, workshops, and coaching sessions related to literacy K-12. She has been trained as a Cognitive Coach. She also has advanced training in the areas of English Language Learners, Response to Intervention, DIBELS, Writing to Win, Step Up to Writing, and Reading in the Content Areas.
She and her husband, Ed, live in Mitchell. They have 3 children: Jeff, Libby, and Andrew. And they share their house with a cat and a dog. In her spare time, Diane loves to read, golf, and spend time with friends and family.
